Description

DENTIUM® Model Casting Alloy – CoCr Dental Alloy for Model Casting

DENTIUM® model casting alloy is a high-quality cobalt-based non-precious metal dental alloy (Type 5 according to DIN EN ISO 22674). It has been developed specifically for model casting technique and is characterised by outstanding mechanical properties and excellent castability – even with delicate structures.

Composition

Cobalt (Co)61.3 % – base element for strength and corrosion resistance
Chromium (Cr)30.15 % – provides oxidation protection and hardness
Molybdenum (Mo)5.5 % – improves mechanical load-bearing capacity
Silicon (Si)1.0 % – optimises casting properties
Carbon (C)0.65 % – increases strength
Manganese, irontrace constituents

The alloy is nickel-free, beryllium-free and cadmium-free and meets the highest biocompatibility standards.

Safety information:

Metal dust is harmful to health. Use dust extraction and a respirator with FFP3 filter (DIN EN 149) when grinding and sandblasting. The dusts, fumes and smoke formed during processing: May cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled (H334). May cause an allergic skin reaction (H317). May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life (H413). Avoid breathing dust and fumes, wear protective gloves, wear respiratory protection in case of inadequate ventilation. Do not use in case of known allergic reactions to any of the ingredients. For adult patients only; contraindicated for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. In exceptional cases, electrochemically induced local irritations have been reported. Galvanic effects may occur when different alloy groups are used in the patient's mouth. Any serious incident must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority. Observe the instructions for use and the safety data sheet (see downloads).
